Chris Van Hollen (D) represents the state of Maryland in the United States Senate. He was elected in 2016 after representing Maryland’s 8th District in the House since 2003. He serves on the Appropriations Committee, the Environment and Public Works Committee, and the Budget Committee, as well as the Banking and Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, where he is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Securities, Insurance, and Investment.
